"Los colores de la Bandera y sus significados son los
siguientes:
Blanco: Representa la paz reinante en nuestro pueblo,
producto del entendimiento entre sus moradores.
Verde: La riqueza de esta región como futura despensa
agrícola de nuestro departamento.
Rojo: La lucha que ha distinguido a sus habitantes en la
consecución de su desarrollo.
La Cruz: En color blanco dentro de un triángulo rojo,
indica el espíritu religioso que ha caracterizado a sus
habitantes, y la devoción que se le tiene a la cruz hasta el
punto de incluirla en el nombre del pueblo."
