"SIMBOLOS MUNICIPALES - Mediante concurso publico, efectuado
en el ano 1990, se escogieron los Simbolos municipales (Himno,
Escudo y Bandera).
El escudo y el Himno elegidos, fueron presentados por el
licenciado PLINIO EDUARDO ARDILA y la bandera por INGRID MAGALLY
ALVERNIA y sus colores son Amarillo(riquezas ganaderas y
agricolas), Blanco (como una campana para conseguir la paz), Azul
(representan las aguas que banan nuestro territorio) ; los mismos
fueron adoptados el 7 de septiembre de 1993, según acuerdo No
064 emanado del Consejo Municipal."
