Gules an Ibex rampant Argent on Coupeaux of the same.

The first version of the blazon of Steinmaur featured an ibex (in German
Steinbock) on a white wall (in German Mauer),
which made the flag completely canting. The wall was replaced by the white
coupeaux in 1726, so the blazon is less canting now.
