Or a valley Vert conjoined with a C of the Same the base surmounted by an inverted triangle the top embowed Azure.
Christopher Southworth

The green C stands for the commune's name ("hundred valleys"), the blue V-shaped triangle stands for the valleys and the water (and perhaps it stands also for valli). The flag image here is missing the white borders surrounding the green and blue section of the emblem (see CoA on the right) (source).

On 25 October 2009 the Centovalli commune was re-formed by the communes of Borgnone, Intragna and Palagnedra (see below), after it already existed until 1838.

Argent a bald head Proper and in chief or three fleurs-de-lis azure.
Željko Heimer/Christopher Southworth

The arms of this commune are those of the family Tondú from Lionza, fraction of Borgnone. The head has no hair as tondú, in local dialect (as well as in French but without the accent), means shaven.
Pascal Gross, 10 June 2003

[The head on the emblem is not coloured, as it might seem on this flag (see emblems on Wikipedia). It shows the head of a chimney sweep with traces of soot. The Tondú were chimney sweeps and emigrated to Parma, Italy around 1600. As wealthy returnees they built a palace and a new church. For more information about the Spazzacamini from Ticino see here and here]

Intragna (until 24 October 2009)

Per pale azure a belfry argent issuant from base and of the last two bars azure embowed in base.
Željko Heimer, 15 June 2003

The campanile on the flag of Intragna is typical from Ticino, the one of Intragna being the highest of the canton (69 m). The two bowed stripes allude to the bridges over the river Isorno.
Pascal Gross, 14 June 2003

Palagnedra (until 24 October 2009)

Azure an antique bridge with a guard house in the middle all argent.
Željko Heimer, 20 June 2003

The bridge on the flag of Palagnedra, the Ponte romano, a 36 m long and 26 m high arched bridge, was built in 1578.
Pascal Gross, 19 June 2003
