Divided and half split, 1: Divided by black and white, 2: In yellow, blue orb bordered in black,

The new municipal flag/coat of arms was created in 1998 by combining the previous coats of arms of Homburg,
Gündelhart-Hörhausen and Salen-Reutenen. Heraldists criticized the fact that experts were not called in
when designing it. The emblem is overloaded and features all possible colours in
heraldry except green.
