Gules a Bath-Tub Or and in chief a Coin of the same bearing a Cross
recercelé Sable and Coupeaux Vert.
Željko Heimer, 10 March 2001
The kind of wash-tub on the flag of Geltwil is called in the German blazoning
Gelte, but I've not been able to find a good translation for
this item but I think that wash-tub is the closest one. The coin on this same
flag is called Batzen in German, and, again, no good
translation for that word. It appears to represent a small coin. Anyway,
this flag is canting twice with both Gelte (the wash-tub) and
Geld (money) represented by the coin.
