Blazon of Division M badge: A husky dog's head erased Argent within an orle
of eight bezants.
Chris Pinette, 14 February 2000
Quoting the official Yukon website page regarding its coat-of-arms:
"The Yukon Coat of Arms is a red, blue, gold and white shield surmounted by a malamute (or husky) standing on a mound of snow."
Which would seem to incidate that the dog on the RCMP flag may be either a
malamute or a husky. However, since the RCMP used as sleigh dog the type known
as "Mackenzie
River Husky". (outside link)
