Murrey on a pale rayonné Argent the Canadian Centennial Symbol Murrey;
Symbolism
The Canadian Heraldic Authority does not have confirmed symbolism
for this emblem. The following comments are hypotheses only. The Canadian
Centennial Symbol refers to the name of the college, which was founded in 1966,
the year before the centennial of Canada’s Confederation. Flames are often used
as a symbol of education. Burgundy and white were then the college’s official
colours.

Two torches Murrey enflamed proper banded in chief and in
base and joined by two chains the links thereof composed of pairs of letters C

torches represent knowledge, intelligence and truth, all values which a college
seeks to emphasize. The chains embody collaboration and cooperation.
