Edmonton hosted the 11th Commonwealth Games in August 1978
and was officially opened by the Queen.

The flag is a white flag, approximately ~3:5 with the games' logo centered on it.
The logo is vertically symmetrical and consists of four "V" shapes joint at the tips, alternately
red and blue and making up a shape that suggests the canadian maple leaf.
