The central shield is divided by an inverted Y-shaped white stripe,
symbolizing the confluence of rivers Yamaska and Noire, around which the town of
Saint-Pie was founded.
In the left part, the watermill wheel, touching water,
recalls the past of the parish of Saint-Pie, which emerged thanks to the joint
force of water and man.
In the right part, the wheel, as part of any cropping
tool, ancient or modern, represents agriculture. The wheel stands on furrows
representing the wide and fertile soil.
In base, the key with the
cross-shaped bit and the Roman numeral "V" (five) represents St. Pius V, the
municipality's patron saint and namesake, Pope from 1566 to 1572.
On top, the
fleur-de-lis symbolizes both Quebec and France.
The green serrated line on
top represents Mount Yamaska.
The burgundy red wavy line in base represents
river Noire.
The scroll is inscribed with the motto "Audace et détermination"
(Audacity and Determination).
