The municipality of Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette (719 inhabitants in 2006; 11,754 ha) is part of the Municipalité régionale de comté of Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais, Region Outaouais. The village is named after the Marian sanctuary of the same name, located in the French Alps.
Marie-Pier Lécuyer reports in "Info07", 9 January 2008, the celebration
of the 125th anniversary of the municipality of Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette.
The celebration shall begin on 19 January with the salute to the
municipal flag.
