a parish municipality; its population centres are Lac-aux-Sables and
Hervey-Jonction.

The logo, designed by Daniel Beaupré, is massive and timely.
The
lining design, rather modern, exemplifies, however, a kind of simplicity
that will fit to evolution and future trends.
The three symbolic
letters "LAS" are represented. The "L", connected to the "S", forms in the
central shadow a sailboat-shaped "A". The three letters as a whole form the
base of a "h", emphasizing the connection of Lac-au-Sables to Hervey-Jonction.
In base, the wave recalls that Lac-aux-Sables is first of all a lake ("lac").
The wave also looks like a flying bird, exemplifying the new boom of the
municipality with willingness to provide dynamism and youth tone.
The
[not] rectangular dark blue background highlights a well-established mass,
authority and wisdom of the youth.
