An earlier version of this flag abbreviated Nunavut as NT instead of the
currently used NU. The new version (with NU) has been use since at least 2013:

The former flag of the hamlet of Arctic Bay, Nunavut, was a Canadian pale of dark red-white-dark red with a map of northern Baffin Island showing the location of the community, and a blue ring with a handshake inside.
