Description of the flag

The flag of the Rural Municipality of Lansdowne, Manitoba, was adopted in 2009. It is vertically divided in three fields, blue-white- blue. Flag incorporates the Lansdowne Seal of the Oxen, Plough and Farmer and inscription. In the middle of the white field is positioned the municipal seal. The seal of the municipality pictures a team of oxen pulling a plow with the farmer walking behind. The inscription reads "Industry is Wealth". The farming industry has and continues to be the main source of wealth for the municipality for over 120 years. "R.M. of LANSDOWNE" above the seal, and "INCORPORATED 1884" below. In the circle of the seal "MUNICIPALITY OF LANSDOWNE.MANITOBA" is written. Information and photo of the flag thanks to Tracey Winthrop-Meyers, CAO.
