The Town Council of the Town of Grimshaw on 8th of March 2000 announced Faye
Allen as the winner of the contest for the town flag. Allen's design
incorporates Grimshaw's main industries of agriculture, transportation and oil.
Whole design presents a rectangular shape divided in 4 fields - 2 blue and 2
white, and "GRIMSHAW" across the flag in blue and white, depending of the field
in which it lays. First field - white shows a plant, second field - blue shows a
truck, third field - blue shows a train, and the fourth field - white shows an
oil derrick.

About the town:
"Grimshaw is a
town in northern Alberta located west of Peace River at the junction of Highway
35, Highway 2, and bypass Highway 2A, and the Mackenzie Northern Railway. By
virtue of being the original starting point of Highway 35, which leads to the
Northwest Territories, Grimshaw is referred to as Mile Zero on the Mackenzie
