The municipality of Entre Rios do Oeste (3,922 inhabitants in 2010; 12,207
ha) is located 500 km north-west of Curitiba.
Entre Rios do Oeste was
first settled on 28 June 1959 by João Naue, Ervino Hentges, Anselmo Scheffler
and their families. The place was named for it location between ("entre") rivers
("rios") São Francisco Verdadeiro and Falso.
The municipality of Entre Rios
do Oeste was established by State Law No. 9,301 promulgated on 18 June 1990,
separating from Marechal Cândido Rondon.
