Concerning books on Bolivian flag History, I got the impression
that Alquizaleth [vzz83]
Calderón & Cortéz [a2d01]
conflict in several aspects, the later being perhaps more reliable.
António Martins, 13 May 2004
J. G. Fuentes [fue75]
shows the variants of the Bolivian flag
1825-26,
the Bolivian monochrome official flags
1854-55
and the arms of Bolivia 1888-c1900 and since c1900.
Dave Martucci, 19 Mar 2000

the flag with its present order of stripes
was introduced in 1851 but a number of variations
had been used since Bolivia gained independence in
1825.
Jarig Bakker, 02 Jan 2002

J. Patrick Fischer, 12 May 2004

caused an equivalent change on the contemporary flag — either
by law or use.
