The Maxx website mentions 1880 as the foundation year of an inland navigation and
customs clearing agency; possible former names of the company are "Maas Rederij N.V." and "Maas & Co."

The house flag of Maas Binnenscheepvaart is red with a black rectangle in the centre bearing the white letters "AM", without serifs, as shown graphically on the Maxx website (page no longer online). A cardboard calender from 1984 shows a similar drawing, with the length being twice the hoist, although this is
probably not significant.
A table flag, with dimensions given as 17 cm x 24 cm and a rather dark field, was offerred on German eBay in February 2007.
