The Shelley Sailing Club (SSC) is located on the Canning River. Initiated in 1974, the SSC was established on 23 March 1975, confirmed on 21 August 1975 and incorporated in 1980. Club members Nick and Janet Jerwood won the World Championship in the Flying Fifteen series in 2005.
The burgee of the SSC is horizontally divided yellow-black-yellow.
