Kurnell is located on the southern shore of Botany Bay, close to Captain Cook's Landing Place Park. The Kurnell Catamaran Club was established in 1972.
The burgee of the KCC is quartered white-light blue-light blue-white. The black letters KCC are placed in the canton.
