Description of the flag

According to Wikipedia, the City of Burnie covers the city of Burnie and surrounding areas, not including the town of Somerset.

The flag is shown in a photo on a church website.

Explanation of the seal, shown on a flag in red, from municipal website.

"For many years Burnie has been represented by an Emu, incorporated in a simple logo that is used as the Council seal, surrounded by the Latin words "non nobis solum" (not for ourselves alone).

The logo represents the extinct Tasmanian sub-species of emu, which was smaller than its mainland counterparts.

The emu was probably chosen because the flightless bird roamed the Emu Bay district at the same time of settlement and because Burnie was initially named Emu Bay."

The next paragraph is about the new municipal logo, but nothing is said about the flag. Is the flag on the photo actual or former flag?
Valentin Poposki, 7 May 2008

The flag, shown hanging in a church (as a reminder of a commitment to pray for the city for 12 months), is white with a red border, and the seal of the city in red in the centre. The seal is made up of the emu described by Valentin, surrounded by two circles forming a ring containing the text "CITY of BURNIE" at the top and the motto "non nobis solum" at the bottom.
