Description of the arms:
In a shield divided diagonally to the left into red and gold, in the upper part three golden four-petalled
flowers with red centres growing on leafy stems from a green hill; in the lower part a green tower, divided
by a golden rectangular doorway, a niche, a rectangular window, a clock face and a round-arched window.
The bell tower in the arms was built in 1784 (photo).
The coat of arms (photo) was granted when the town was granted
market rights in 1998.
