Deutsch Jahrndorf (Hungarian: Németjárfalu; Croatian: Nimški Jandrof;
Slovakian: Nemecké Jarovce) is located on the border triangle of Austria, Hungary and Slovakia.
It is the most Eastern place in Austria and also the most Eastern point of the German sprachraum (yes,
an English word for contiguous language area) since 1945. It has the additional "Deutsch" in its name
because of its Slovakian
neighbouring village Kroatisch Jahrndorf (Croatian: Hrvatski Jandrof; Slovakian: Jarovce;
Hungarian: Horvátjárfalu), which was mainly inhabited by Croats until 1945.
There is no information available about the meaning of the CoA (The three flowers could symbolize
the three ethnic cultures).
The official colours are red, white and green.
The website and the Facebook pages of the commune show the same depiction of the arms.
