Austrian Airlines (official name Austrian Airlines AG) is an airline from
Austria and it is currently a subsidiary of Lufthansa.
Since July 1, 2012, all flights of Austrian Airlines are operated by subsidiary
Tyrolean Airways under the brand name "Austrian". Austrian Airways was
established as OELAG (Österreichische Luftverkehrs AG, not to be confused with
the original Olag established in 1923 which was also absorbed in 1939 by
Lufthansa with the annexation of Austria by Germany) through the merger of Air
Austria and Austrian Airways and began operations on 30 September 1957.
