The Partido de la Costa (coast) is located next to the South Atlantic Ocean, at 320 Km south-east of the City of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina. This district is 253 Km² and it had 60,483 inhabitants in the last census (2001). Its main economical activity is tourism during summer season, because it has beaches.
This district was created by law in 1978.

A white flag with the municipal logo at center surounded by the name of municipal government of the district. The Partido de la Costa does not have a coat of arms, but a logo.
