The seal is made of a ring of words which includes the city and states names, The historic district founding year, and the motto. The ring surrounds the centerpiece which depicts a scene of a town. In the foreground are two building. One is the old Loudon County courthouse, the other is what resembles the Loudon United Methodist Church. In the background is a shipping boat on the Tennessee river.
