Located in Kyoto City Kyoto Prefecture and established in 1949. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold emblem and horizontally written gold kanji university name with gold fringe. The university flag has dark red background with a white emblem and white kanji university name written horizontally. The university emblem consists of the letter "Ph" of Pharmazie replaced by the Greek letter "Φ" and a poppy fruit. Under this emblem, the university is deeply committed to the study of "drugs" that contribute to human health, and to the training of outstanding pharmacy graduates, pharmacists, and pharmacologists.
