The town emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 2004 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green and a blue two color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a form of a plum flower which is a symbol of the best plum town in Japan. The green color stands for abundant mountains, the blue color for sea of fertility and the white three curved lines for a perpetual stream of rivers.
