Adopted on April 1st 1989 by Shiga Prefecture Police Headquarters Orders No 5.
The dark blue flag has gold fringe charged with a gold sun and rays
surrounded by the prefecture flower gold rhododendron and its name along the bottom.
The flag proportions are 26:39
