Overview

Tkon is a community in Zadar on the southern end of Pašman Island, just opposite Biograd na moru on the coast. Several monasteries are there preserving tradition from 9th and 10th century. I believe that the whole community has about 1,000 inhabitants, the main place of the same name having probably the half of it. The community is established in 1997 by secession from the community of Pašman.
The coat of arms of Tkon is azure a raven sable beaked and membered or stantant on a scallop argent. The flag is blue with yellow bordered coat of arms in the middle.
The table flag, matching probably the ceremonial flag, is blue with the coat of arms in the middle, the name of the community above it in two arches and below the arms there is the Glagolic inscription 'KON' - the name of the place as it appears in ancient manuscripts produced and still preserved there.

Checking the latest official gazettes of the Zadar County at <www.zadarska-zupanija.hr>, I found some news in the recently adopted statutes of several municipalities:
Tkon: Odluka o grbu i zastavi Opcine Tkon, Službeni glasnik Zadarske županije, br. 5/97 Statut Opcine Tkon, 20.01.2006, Službeni glasnik Zadarske županije, br. 2/06, 25.01.2006.
The new statutes beside containing the description of thecoat of arms and flag, also include reference to the decision adopting them:

The new statutes (Statut Opcine Tkon, 12.08.2009, Službeni glasnik Zadarske županije, br. 16/2009, 19.08.2009) repeats word for word articles regarding the symbols from the 2006 statutes, including the description of the coat of arms and flag and reference to the 1997 decision adopting them.
