Gracišce is a community in the Istria County, about 10 km
east of Pazin, population just under
1,500, about 1/3 of them living in the town of the same name. The
town is settled on a top of a hill and is typical Istrian
medieval city, with the status of protected monument as a whole.
The Italian name of the town is Gallignana, although it is not
used official nowdays.
The coat of arms of Gracišce is: argent
on a base vert a church with a belfry gule (There are several
important old churches in Gracišce, I am not sure which one
is pictured.).
The flag is red with the coat of arms in the middle bordered
golden.
The table flag is vertical ending
triangularly withthe coat of arms in the middle, the name of the
community above and oranment of oak, olive and vine branches
witha bunch of grapes.
The symbols were designed by the Heraldic
Art d.o.o. from Rijeka, although I believe they may be based
on some historical pattern (otherwise the central state
authorities would probably not approve such design with a
church). The coat of arms is shown on the Hareldic Art web site
(incorrectly captioned "Krcan", that does not mean
anything). In February I received a photo of the table flag of
Gracišce made by Mirjan Rimanic, on which I base my drawing.
The ceremonial flag is no doubt existing as well.

On the official site of the
community one may see photo (although quie small) of the
flags at the community building: left to right - Gracišce,
Croatia, Istria.
As Ivan Grbac pointed me out, at <www.ipazin.net>,
there is a photo of the mayor infront of the ceremonial flag -
gonfalon. It is, as expected - red with three triangularly ending
tails. One of the tails is only visible, containing the ornament
of vine branches (very much like the gonfalon of Lobor).
