El Sauzal's flag was plain white with the coat of arms in its centre. I spotted this flag on 30 January 2007 in the Military Museum of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Coat of Arms
The shield is divided per fess:
- In the base you can see a green willow tree in a silver (white) field. Willow trees ("sauzes") gave the municipality its name.
- In the chief you can see a golden (yellow) key crossed with a silver (white) one, both connected
by a silver stole with golden embroideries in a blue field. The keys are attributes of St. Peter, he being patron of the
municipality.
- The shield is topped by a coronet.
The coat of arms was established by decree on 21 October 1960, published in BOE on 14 November 1960.
