The municipality of Peralejos de Abajo (183 inhabitants in 2009, 1,968 ha) is located in the west of Salamanca Province, 60 km from the provincial capital. Peralejos de Abajo (Lower Peralejos) is located not far from Peralejos de Arriba (Upper Peralejos).

The flag and arms of Peralejos de Abajo are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 17 May 2010 by the Municipal Council, signed on 9 June 2010 by the Mayor, and published on 6 August 2010 in the official gazette of Castile and Leon, No. 151, pp. 63,377-63,378. Approved by the Chronicler of Arms of Castile and Leon, the symbols designed by the arts historian Luis Hernández Olivera are described as follows:
Municipal flag: Square flag in proportions 1/1, made of a green panel with a yellow saltire, charged in the middle with the local coat of arms.Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Or a pear tree fructed proper, 2. Vert semy with jugs or. The shield surmounted by a Royal Spanish crown.
