The municipality of El Milano (134 inhabitants in 2009; 2,266 ha) is located in the north-west of the Salamanca Province, 80 km from the provincial capital.

The flag and arms of El Milano, designed by Vicente Tocino Letrado and Tomás Rodríguez Peñas, are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 26 September 2007 by the Municipal Council, signed on 1 October 2007 by the Mayor, and published on 16 October 2007 in the official gazette of Castile and Leon, No. 201, p. 19,470. The symbols are described as follows:
Municipal flag
Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of two equal vertical stripes, white with a kite's head at hoist and yellow at fly.
Municipal coat of arms
Per fess 1. Argent a kite (Spanish, "milano") volant sable, 2. Or two oak leaves vert per saltire. The shield surmounted by the Royal crown closed.
