The flag is divided by a red stripe from top hoist to bottom fly with the text MUY NOBLE · GATA · MUY LEAL (Very Noble – Gata – Very Loyal) in yellow lettering. The top fly is white with a (green) cross of the Order of Alcántara, the bottom hoist is yellow with a brown seated she-cat (Spanish gata).
