Prackenbach Coat of Arms

Shield Argent two ibex horns addorsed Gules, chief wavy Azure, base wavy Gules charged with a fess barry-bendy of Azure and Argent.
Meaning:
The red base is symbolising the Pfahl, a quartz vein in the Bavarian Forest. The chief is symbolising the Höllenstein Water Reservoir. The horns are taken from the arms of the Schälchl family, who lived in Krailing. The horns are also representing the other families, who owned the districts (Bavarian: Hofmarken) of Krailing and Moosbach, the former between 1456 and 1525. The lozengy fess in the barry-bendy variant is alluding to the Nußberg family, who succeded the Ramsberg family either in the 14th century or during the first half of the 15th century as owners of the Moosbach district. The district was sold to Duke Albrecht III of Bayern in 1453, when it became part of the court district of Viechtach. The ensemble is thus also representing the former municipalities of Mossbach and Ruhmannsdorf, to which Krailing belonged.
