Hofstetten Coat of Arms

Shield Gules two firs Argent issuant from a picket fence of the same in base, chief Argent charged with two keys Gules in saltire.
Meaning:
The crossed keys are an attribute of St. Peter, patron saint of the Benedictine Wessobrunn Abbey, being the manorial lord until 1803. The village of Hagenheim had been a possession of the abbey since the High Medieval. Since 1403 also the local parish was incorporated into the abbey. The picket fence (German: Hegezaun) with the firs is a canting element. The tinctures are those of Wessobrunn Abbey and of the Bishopric of Augsburg as well. On 1 January 1972 Hofstetten merged with Hagenheim, forming the new municipality of Hofstetten.

The former municipality of Hagenheim adopted the arms in 1953. The symbols were confirmed on 5 March 1975 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern for Hofstetten.
